An Algebra Tutor In Amarillo Can Be A Great Benefit To Students

An Algebra Tutor In Amarillo Can Be A Great Benefit To StudentsA Spanish-language algebra tutor in Amarillo, Texas can be a large benefit to students who wish to study at a university level in mathematics. While it is not a requirement, many universities provide assistance with the cost of attendance at their university courses.Algebra in the US is not as easy as most people think. Most first years spend a lot of time and energy practicing the basics and getting used to math terminology. Most schools do not provide an algebra tutor service to help with such things. They can be helpful to study the material at the beginning, but they will not be as great at the end of the year when the final exam will come around. In the event that a student is challenged by either trying to memorize or deal with concepts and symbols, there are many Math tutors available for a student in Math Class to study. Even if the student does not get ahead of the curve, he can always rely on the tutors to learn the most new material that is introduced in their classes. For example, they will have a great deal of knowledge on numbers, logic, fractions, decimals, and other topics that may be taught in a math class. Using this knowledge, a student can go into the final test knowing how to do the mathematical calculations necessary to pass the exam. The teacher can give them some helpful tips for questions and problems, or even just to use their own logical thinking skills to eliminate or solve problems. If the student has a little more free time, they can use their time in math class to be able to interact with other students. The most common way to do this is to join a Math Club, which is a group that works together to study, solve problems, or just hang out together. When using an algebra tutor in Amarillo, the student can find out a lot of information about their individual tutor by simply talking to them. Some students may feel shy about coming to a particular person's office, so finding out their contact information and telephone number should be a good idea. Then, once the student has found out how much time the tutor has available, the student can use this information to decide whether or not they will work with them.Students should also ask about the fee of the algebra tutor before they sign up. This could be very helpful for students who need to pay a lot of money for tutoring services. Many algebra tutors charge a flat fee, or a per semester fee, which is helpful to students that have a lot of money available to pay for tutoring services.

3 Ways to Get Ahead on Your Students Science Fair Project

3 Ways to Get Ahead on Your Student’s Science Fair Project With the school year just beginning, your students science fair project may be the last thing on your mind. Back-to-school time, however, is a great time to get an early start on your childs science fair project. Ways to get ahead on your students science fair project can include reaching out to their teacher to ensure you understand the involved deadlines, determining the central research question early on, and spending time getting creative with ideas. Getting a head start on your students science fair project gives you both time to flesh out any ideas and make a plan for how to execute the project. Also, it will help you avoid any last-minute scrambling. Does getting a jumpstart on your students science fair project sound appealing? Here are three ways you and your student can get ahead on their science fair project this fall: Communicate with your students teacher when planning for the science fair project Deadlines for science fair projects typically fall between mid-January and the end of February (though some schools may have fall due dates). While this may feel far away in September, there are many individual deadlines along the way. Depending on the teacher and the district, you could have deadlines for submitting items like your childs research plan. A good way to get ahead on your students science fair project is to mark these deadlines on your calendar. If you dont have this year's policy and procedure manual yet, you can still plan for deadlines. Look at last year's manual for your school, district, or state to see when the past deadlines fell. This years dates could change, but chances are that each deadline will still be in the same general window as the year before. It can also be helpful to reach out to your child's teacher with any questions you may have regarding the timeline. Its important that you understand the requirements and due dates early on in the school year, so you can help your student properly plan when each part of the project needs to be completed. With your childs other classes and extracurricular activities, the school year can get busy quickly. Its key to schedule time around your students other responsibilities to work on this project. Being aware of deadlines and having an open line of communication with your childs teacher are good opportunities to help your student get ahead on their science fair project. [RELATED: 3 Ways to Effectively Communicate with Your Childs Teacher] Get ahead by determining the science fair projects research question and timeline The first step for any project is deciding on a hypothesis and basis for the experiment. Once your student has determined their research question, they can then begin to plan out the rest of the project. For example, is your child interested in conducting a social science experiment or a physical science experiment? Its important for your student to do as much research as possible on the different types of experiments they can conduct. This way, they can fully understand the style of experiment they are going to execute. Once the research question is determined, your child can better plan their timeline. This is because the type of experiment your student chooses can have an effect on how the timeline plays out. For example, if your students experiment includes a sample of conveniencei.e. family members or classmatesthey would have to conduct their experiment based off the availability of their subjects, which in turn affects the timeline. A great way to get ahead on your students science fair project is to determine the projects hypothesis early on so you can adjust the timeline accordingly. [RELATED: How Parents Can Help With Elementary Homework Challenges] Get creative with science fair project ideas Now that you have determined the project and made a timeline, the fun can begin. The beauty of starting science fair preparations early is that you and your student have plenty of time to get creative with the projectboth in how to conduct the experiment and in how to set up the final presentation. There are a multitude of creative and engaging project ideas your student can turn into an experiment: Is your child interested in learning if gummy bears will grow at different rates in different types of liquids? Do they want to know how electricity affects the pH of water? Have they always wanted to learn how to make a battery out of fruit? Start a conversation with your student about what interests them. Research creative ideas online with your child, and see if anything peaks their interest. The important thing is to find a project your student is excited about executing. This is a project that is worked on over the course of months, so choosing one they are energized about will make this years science fair project a fun experience. Past Simple, Past Perfect and Past Continuous (Video)

Past Simple, Past Perfect and Past Continuous (Video) In several of my English classes, of all levels, have asked for some a clear demonstration of the differences between Past Simple, Past Perfect and Past Continuous (also know as Past Progressive).Lately in my classes, Ive been drawing a timeline on a piece of paper and showing it to students as a way of demonstrating the differences. Obviously, this isnt especially effective, but Ive always felt that these tenses were best explained visually. So recently we were inspired by watching the great videos produced by the Kahn Academy, and decided to start creating videos with a tool called a Bamboo, that basically allows you to draw on your computer screen. We then recorded the drawings to make a whiteboard presentation like the one below. Teauna did the drawing and the speaking. If you enjoy it please share it!

Heart Tutoring Volunteer Partner - GEM - Heart Math Tutoring

Heart Tutoring Volunteer Partner - GEM - Heart Math Tutoring Heart Tutoring Volunteer Partner GEM Heart Tutoring Volunteer Partner GEM March 29, 2019 Seal of “Efficiency” from the Best Global Endowment Management (GEM) began their partnership with Heart Math Tutoring in 2014 when Heart Tutoring was the recipient of a GEM Foundation grant. As the internal, employee-led grant team was establishing their financial partnership they also saw a great opportunity to start a volunteer partnership, with the first GEM tutors starting in the 2015/16 school year. GEM’s leadership not only encourages volunteering but prioritizes educating employees on the needs of the Charlotte community. Charlotte Atkinson was a member of the foundation committee, serves as a Portfolio Reporting Manager at GEM, and is a member of Heart Tutoring’s Community Relations Committee. As a busy community member who has always had a passion for giving back, she understands the need to find opportunities like tutoring with Heart Math Tutoring. She understands the need for volunteering opportunites that both fit into volunteers schedule to ensure that volunteers feel like they are having an impact. She shared more with us about GEM’s involvement and the effects they’ve seen around the office. How do you recruit volunteers in the office? In addition to sharing her own experiences around the office, Charlotte has hosted several Lunch and Learns with the Heart Tutoring team at their offices. These are a great way for employees to learn about Heart Math Tutoring and hear from colleagues on their tutoring experiences. Also, as a numbers-oriented group, the statistics demonstrating the math proficiency rates in CMS and the results Heart Tutoring is producing are incredibly motivating. (Want to host your own Lunch and Learn? Let’s chat!) I dont do math, can I tutor? “There are no prerequisites to be a [Heart Tutoring] tutor! The lessons and games are straight forward, easy to follow and fun,” says Charlotte. Still skeptical? There is always a Heart Tutoring Program Coordinator on site to help you through the lessons. And if you want to make sure your students and you are getting the best bang for their buck, she says: “Tutoring for Heart Tutoring is hands down the most efficient use of volunteer time I’ve ever encountered.” Have you seen outcomes throughout the office? Tutoring creates experiences on which we can share and connect. GEM employees regularly exchange Heart Tutoring stories over cube walls, like celebrating new notebook day, and many of their volunteers are partner tutors that share the same students! Two GEM spouses have even gone on to work as Program Coordinators at Heart Math Tutoring after hearing about it through their spouses’ experience. Thank you, GEM, for your commitment to making a difference in the lives of students!

How to attract top teaching talent by marketing your rural school online

How to attract top teaching talent by marketing your rural school online Across the US, rural schools are currently facing some of the worst teacher shortages. Time and time again, rural schools struggle the most when it comes to hiring certified teachers, as well as teachers specializing in specific subject areas, like math, STEM, bilingual and special education. By virtue of their remote location, rural schools are always going to have less access to large talent pools. But this shouldn’t mean compromising on quality when hiring teachers for your rural school. The upside is that some schools are currently seeing a surplus of teachers - and their surplus is another school’s gain! Finding teachers from other states can be a key component of any rural school’s recruitment strategy. In today’s highly mobile world, many US teachers are open to the idea of moving from one state to another in search of the right job and school. However, there’s no denying that attracting teachers to jobs at remote schools can be a challenge. Many rural US schools have spoken to us about the extent of their hiring difficulties. They talk of huge spends on recruiting, dozens of trips to job fairs thousands of miles away - and still coming up empty-handed on candidates for those hard-to-fill positions. Some states, in an effort to combat these challenges, are choosing to bolster their teaching workforce through alternative certification programs. More recently, other states are incentivizing teachers to work in rural schools by creating student loan forgiveness programs. While it remains to be seen how these strategies will play out over the long term, the fact is that as a rural school, there is so much you can do to start attracting qualified teachers - starting right now. Go digital Posting your jobs on online job boards that cater specifically to teachers is the best way to reach the highest number of active job seekers, including non-local candidates. Posting jobs online also has the added benefit of being more cost effective than traditional methods, like newspaper print ads or hiring fairs. Brand your school The key to success is to build a relationship with an audience of qualified teachers - before they become candidates. Vacancies posted to school websites receive little visibility when compared to education-specific job boards. A branded school web page hosted on a high-traffic job board, on the other hand, can be highly effective in driving teachers to your vacancies. Remember, there are many benefits to working in rural schools - benefits that should be clearly outlined on your school landing page. Rural schools need to ensure that their job postings are resonating with potential candidates. Including information on your school’s mission and values, as well as teacher testimonials and video tours, all help to drive more engaged candidates. Highlight the non-material reasons why teaching in your district - more freedom in the classroom, the opportunity to forge close relationships with students and less bureaucracy - benefits that many suburban schools often lack. Don’t just mention the low cost of living - that’s not enough to pique a candidate’s interest! While pay undoubtedly matters when recruiting, research has shown that money alone isn't enough for teachers. Promoting the advantages of teaching and living in your area can be far more effective than perks such as relocation financial assistance, salaries or benefits. Use social media to attract talent With so many teachers using social media to discover potential jobs, popular social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter can be highly successful in driving qualified job seekers to job postings. Many employment platforms have a large audience of active job seekers via their social media channels, so these are great options to get your job postings seen by those highly qualified out-of-state teachers. Use targeted emailing tactics Online teaching job boards have a database of active job seekers who have subscribed to receive relevant job alerts. Schools can purchase direct email campaign packages to target their vacancies to active candidates that closely match their hiring criteria - all while cutting out the noise of unqualified resumes. Posting on online job boards and social media allows schools to broadcast their job openings to a much broader audience - especially out-of-state teachers. This way, schools have the potential to grab the attention of thousands of interested educators from across the country - not just the ones who are attending a local career fair or reading the local newspaper! Want to know more about how Teach Away’s strategic online recruitment strategies can help you all the hire the teachers you need for the upcoming school year? Talk to us today!

25 Ways to Save Money When You Travel

25 Ways to Save Money When You Travel Image via Pixabay.com Save on flights 1. Look on cheap airfare sites Websites like Skyscanner.com and Travelzoo.com offer ways of finding some of the cheapest flights available. Try searching through websites like these and comparing prices until you find the best ticket for your money. 2. Don’t fly during holidays Holidays are when tickets get much pricier because of how popular it is to fly during these times. If possible, try to schedule your trip for a month that isn’t as popular to travel, such as January. Not only will you save money on your flight but you also won’t have to worry about being stuck in long lines or raised prices on hotels. 3. Schedule your flight during unpopular hours “Red-eye flights” are flights that leave late at night and arrive at their destination usually early in the morning. These flights are usually less popular and prices are lower. 4.  Pack light Save on baggage fees by only packing the necessities. If you can get away with just carry-on bags, that would be even better! 5. Teach overseas Some companies that are looking to hire native speakers of English to teach in their country might be willing to cover the cost of your airfare. If you’re passionate about teaching and want to travel, this could be the perfect opportunity to save hundreds of dollars on airfare. Save on lodging 6. Check out a hostel Hostels are places that offer cheap food and shared accommodations for travelers. They are often cheaper than hotels and you’ll get to meet other travelers like yourself who are looking to also meet new people. Some hostels even have private rooms! 7. Couch-surf A fun way to meet new people and really get immersed in the culture is to try out couch-surfing. Couch-surfing lets you stay with local people who are willing to share their home with you for a few days or so. You’ll get to live with the locals and see how their daily lives are, which can be the best traveling experience to have. 8. Stay with a host family Much like couch-surfing, staying with a host family gives you a closer look at how life as a local is. Check online and with your school to see what study abroad options are available to you. 9.  Airbnb Looking for rental homes on the website Airbnb can be a cheaper and more exciting route than booking a hotel room. I’ve seen entire house rentals in Japan for less than $100 on this site. If you’re traveling with friends, you can even split the cost of the house and save a lot of money. 10. Stay outside of major cities Many of the hotels and rentals inside of major cities, especially cities known to attract a lot of visitors, can be expensive. Look into getting a hotel just outside of the city or in a smaller town nearby. From there, you can take the bus or catch an Uber and ride into the city when you’re ready to explore. 11. Try Travendly Travendly is a website that helps young professional travelers meet in foreign countries and form travel groups. There might be some amongst the group who would love to split the cost of a room with you or split the cost of a tour. 12. Try WWOOF WWOOF is a program that allows travelers to stay and work on farms all over the world. The farm owners will allow workers to stay in their home and provide food in exchange for the help. If you enjoy hard work and want to help out a business that does a lot for the world, I recommend giving it some research. 13. Go on a mission trip Traveling with your church group can save you money. Many times, the hotel rooms will be shared, saving you money while you still get to have the experience of traveling to a new country. Image via Pixabay.com Save on transportation 14. Split fares by sharing rides Ride-sharing apps like Uber are all over the world. Splitting the fare with other people bound for your destination can save you a lot of money as you go exploring. 15. Take public transportation There’s no better way to experience the city firsthand than by using public transportation. Subways and buses can be cheaper than car rentals (and more economic). 16. Walk when you can Experience scenery firsthand and not just as a passing blur by walking. Be safe when you walk and try not to walk alone if possible, especially at night. Save on food 17. Book a hotel with free breakfast If you stay in a hotel, it can be beneficial to you if the hotel offers free breakfast. This way, you won’t need to go out and buy food in the morning. 18.  Eat a big breakfast Eat as much as you can for breakfast so you won’t be as hungry during lunch time. Pack snacks to eat for lunch and then dish out money for a nice dinner. 19. Shop local and cook in your kitchen Shopping at the local supermarkets can introduce you to new kinds of foods. Have fun cooking back at your room and trying out all kinds of new cuisine.   20.  Steer clear of tourist areas Areas that have a lot of tourist attractions often mean higher prices for food and drink. If possible, look for food in places where the locals go. 21. Always pack a to-go box If you go out to eat for dinner, make sure you take whatever food you don’t eat home with you. Warm it up for the next day’s lunch so you won’t have to spend money on more food. Save on sightseeing 22.  Find free events Do some research before you go on your trip and see what kinds of free events will be happening. Look for free movie showings, concerts, art shows, comedy acts, air shows, and more so you won’t have to spend a lot of money going to other pricey attractions. 23.  Look into free museums, parks, etc. Some places have free admission. Sites like the D.C.’s national zoo will let you walk in and explore at no cost.   24. Ask about student discounts Being a student is great! Make sure you ask if places like museums and other attractions will give you a discount as a student. 25. Check out activities hosted by your hostel Want to learn how to make great drinks or cook up a new dish? Some hostels host free events for the people staying there. Remember, don’t let anything as trivial as money hold you back from doing something you really want to do. Start saving now and create a budget for when you go on a trip so you’ll be less worried about money when you travel and more excited about the prospect of an adventure. Happy traveling, everyone!

Passing Scores of PSSA Chemistry and Engineering

Passing Scores of PSSA Chemistry and EngineeringPass the PSPA Chemistry and Engineering PTA, which will be taken by incoming second-year students of chemistry and engineering, which are taken as elective subjects by the second-year students. In the class, students will learn the skills that are required to understand materials and their properties, how their composition may be modified through reaction, how they react with one another, and the importance of thermodynamics in chemical engineering.Students will also learn to apply the theories developed in the PSSA chemistry to chemical and physical phenomena. This will help them in considering practical problems and solutions and will be useful for students who want to get into a specific area of chemistry. The students may also find it useful to take a problem solving class which has been designed by expert teachers to help students solve problems of different types. The passing score for the exam does not necessarily mean that studen ts will be able to complete the course. Most students fail their courses because they are not able to complete the course after studying all the material thoroughly. Some students also stop taking the class after a few weeks. For the students who have passed the class, the passing score might be good enough but it is not necessarily the result they are looking for. There are a lot of other courses offered by the college that are open to students who have passed the class. These include biochemistry, material science, mechanical engineering, food science, nutrition and food systems and the environment, and materials science. Students can take these classes, even if they have not taken the PSSA chemistry and engineering class.Other than that, there are also other courses that the students can take. These include calculus, college mathematics, geology, and natural sciences. Most of these courses are offered online and students can select their preferred subjects after completing the PSS A chemistry and engineering class. The only drawback of these courses is that they are offered online but students can always choose to attend a campus-based class. It is true that taking advanced course also involves more work from the students and they need to put some efforts in this aspect. They can join the campus-based classes or they can opt for an online class where they will be able to study at their own pace. Online classes are also convenient for those students who are working on a daily basis or taking care of their families. In conclusion, students should take the PSSA chemistry and engineering class before they will be able to participate in the curriculum and can take it after they have successfully completed the course. This will allow them to explore their interest in various topics of chemistry and engineering. Students who feel they do not have time for getting their diploma are suggested to enroll for this class and complete it.

Organic Chemistry Taught by Online Tutors

Organic Chemistry Taught by Online TutorsOrganic Chemistry is a science that deals with understanding the composition and structure of matter. In this article we will discuss the role of the organic chemistry tutor and the difficulties encountered while using this science in a practical environment. If you are someone who loves science and enjoys reading the various books and websites relating to it, then make sure that you get involved in learning more about this great subject.Learning about chemistry can be a long process, especially when you do not know how to begin. One of the best ways to learn is by using a tutor who can guide you through the process and explain what you need to know. You do not have to get your own personal tutor who will come into your home and teach you. Instead you can choose to use an online tutor who offers a wealth of information through online resources.Choosing the right tutor will depend on a lot of factors including the experience, where you live, wh ether you have children and even what level of education you have. Ideally you would like to choose someone who has a large amount of experience in the field. Also, you want someone who is knowledgeable and has attained the highest level of expertise in this particular field. If you find it difficult to choose the right online tutor for yourself, you can always ask for the recommendations of those who have already chosen their tutor. This will help you greatly and ensure that you choose the most qualified tutor. This method is more economical than going out of your way to look for the perfect person to teach you.It is important to remember that the person who is teaching you will need to be committed to his or her profession. A lot of people turn to other professions, while trying to learn more about chemistry and therefore the person should be very much interested in his or her work. One way to ensure that is to ask the tutor if they are actively working in the field.Another thing t o consider is the teaching style of the teacher. Does the person have any experience in teaching? If they have not had any experience in teaching, you should definitely make sure that they do not attempt to teach you without any prior experience.Online tutors are the most common type of teachers. You can easily ask them to provide you with their name and phone number. By doing this you will be able to verify their experience and find out if they have any problems or have previous complaints against them.

Help With Algebra Problems

Help With Algebra ProblemsWhen you are trying to learn math, whether you are at your school or at home, or even on the internet, there are a lot of options for help with algebra problems. What to do when you have basic algebra problems? A good way to solve the problem is to find a math help website, they will often have a practice algebra section that you can take and this can be very helpful for you. Most online math tutors will have some sort of free practice sections available, and this is where you can do all your practice problems, so that you don't forget any concept you are going to have to learn at school. This is a good way to get an understanding of what is expected from you at school, but also help you to be prepared to study. It is also a bad idea to just copy and paste equations into your own text editor, especially if you know that they are formulas that have already been solved in an algebra textbook. If you are copying and pasting your equations, you are not only not go ing to understand what is going on, but you are actually hurting your study time because you are not understanding the problem. What should you do if you have a really difficult algebra problem? If you really are having a problem with algebra, you need to talk to someone about it, whether it is your parents a math tutor, or even someone who is a student who took algebra at school. You are going to hear a lot of information on how to deal with algebra problems, and they can really make the difference between making progress and dropping out of school completely. I recommend talking to a teacher, or someone at school, because it is their job to help you and to make sure that you are doing well.Once you know that you have algebra problems, you will need to figure out which one is causing you problems, and then work towards solving it. The first thing you need to do is find the problem, then figure out what you are learning from it, what you need to learn, and what you need to do to make that happen.Once you are working on the problem, it is important to make sure that you practice the problem in the format of the book, so that you can understand what is happening and why you are failing at the algebra level. When you see how you are doing in the class, you can find ways to make that information stick to your head.

The History of the Ion in Chemistry

The History of the Ion in ChemistryIt may not seem like a big deal, but for those of you who are curious about the history of the ion in chemistry, you may want to know how it came to be. In essence, the ion was created when some amino acids were mixed with sodium ions in a container and stirred together.Chemists knew there had to be an electric field to affect the atoms so that they would follow the voltage changes that were induced by the acid. An electron then traveled from one atom to another. When the electrons reached the amino acid, they could come together to create the ion. Now, that was centuries ago in the early days of the 'science of matter'. But, this doesn't mean that the science of electricity is dead. Quite the contrary. The science of electricity and the ion in chemistry is used to describe the interactions between one element or group of elements and another.Consider the word salt. It describes something that has a large negative charge (negative ion). This is the m ost common example of the ion in chemistry, although it isn't actually part of the natural organic compounds. The word is derived from the Greek words (salta) meaning 'salt' and (ion) meaning 'a cloud'.The modern use of the ion in chemistry was when we first discovered it was possible to treat various kinds of tissue or cell in an animal body as if they were a whole organic structure. One is done by blocking the charged particles from the environment so that the molecules can move freely through the body. Some people call this technique 'electron selective drug delivery'. These particles have to be prepared in such a way that they may pass through the cells while blocking the vital particles and avoiding the destruction of the rest of the organism. Electron selective drug delivery is one of the applications of the ion in chemistry. The best examples of the ion in chemistry would be the atomic ion. We call this kind of ion an atomic group. The next time you come across an interesting m olecule, look closer at the word 'ion' to learn more about the science of physics.
